Week 6- Jing and Screencast

Jing What?

The purpose of the Jing that I created was to walk my math students through a powerpoint presentation that teaches them how to convert within the metric system. I could have simply allowed my students to view the powerpoint but I believe its a more interactive experience if they hear my voice. There are many problem based learning experiences that occur in my classroom and my students often have to prepare presentations. I have tried to persuade my students to use other methods than powerpoint and this would be an opportunity for them to be curious about how I created the Jing.



I created the Jing and then uploaded the Jing to screencast so that it's avaliable online for people to view. It was simple to create the Jing but I couldn't figure out how to provide a link and then I remembered to send the Jing through screencast. I will use Jing in the future however, I am very interested in creating a podcast and using other Web 2.0 technologies.
